At Coe Church of Christ, we believe the Bible to be the word of God. We are not saying that the Bible "contains truth"-we are saying that it "is truth." From cover to cover, the Bible repeatedly claims to be speaking the very words of God. "All scripture is God breathe and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" (2nd Timothy 3:16) Because of this confidence, the Bible has become our standard of "faith and practice." In other words, we base everything we believe, teach, and preach on the Bible.
THE MISSION OF COE CHURCH OF CHRIST
Coe Church of Christ exists to reach out to the lost, to train people to maturity in Christ, through discipleship, worship, and fellowship, completely following God's Word.
It is our vision: to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the surrounding communities and the world.
It is our vision: to be a place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated and the confused can find love, acceptance, forgiveness, help, hope, and encouragement.
It is our vision: to encourage spiritual maturity, equip each believer for a significant ministry and to be a church where every member is an Ambassador for Christ.
It is our vision: to be a church that worships the Father in spirit and in truth.
It is our vision: to encourage believers to attain a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
How To Become A Christian
We do not have the ability to take away our sins. But, God, recognizing our inability to pay for our sins, has paid the price for us! He gave his only son to suffer the wrath that was due for our sin. By accepting Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are cleansed from our sin and God considers us totally sinless. "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." (2 Corinthians 5:21)
